Raise them ready.

GrownWise is a simple app for parents to keep track of the life skills each child is learning, from washing their hands to making a budget. Every skill they need before they leave home, in one place.

We're looking for parents to try the beta with their kids.

GrownWise home screen: a child's progress (16 of 160 skills mastered, Helper level) and skills that are right for their age.

Less guessing. More “they've got this.”

You already teach your kids a hundred things. GrownWise helps you see what's done, what's next, and how to teach it.

The skill list

160 skills, ages 1 to 18. One tap to track.

A ready-made library across 13 categories, with a suggested age to start each skill and an age to aim for. Tap once to mark it practicing or mastered, for each child.

  • Home & cooking, money, safety & first aid
  • Communication, manners, self-care and more
  • See what's right for each child's age
Home screen: a skill just marked mastered with one tap, and Badger cheering Nice work!
Lessons

Step-by-step cards that make teaching easy.

Illustrated lesson cards walk through a skill one step at a time with Larry, Max and Ollie. Each ends with a practice challenge, then you confirm: Mastered.

Lesson card: Larry shows Max how to wash hands well.
Practice challenge: tie a bowline in under 30 seconds, with a button that says Parent confirms: mastered it.
Badges & levels

Merit badges they'll want to earn.

Each category has its own badge. As skills add up, kids move up through the levels, all the way to Ready for the World.

Family lists

Your family's list. Share it or stick it on the fridge.

Pick the skills that matter most to your family. Share the list with your spouse, grandparents or friends, or print it out.

My Family List with skills like calling 911, riding a bike and writing a thank-you note.
Badger, a chunky cartoon badger in a merit sash, holding up a shiny new badge.
NEW BADGE!

Meet Badger. He makes a big deal of it.

Badger tags along on the journey. He cheers when you tap Mastered and shows up to announce every new badge. Because a kid who can make their own sandwich is a big deal.

Nice work! Skill mastered.

Ollie
…and Larry, who teaches every lesson

Questions

What will it cost?

GrownWise will be a low-cost yearly subscription. Beta testers get their first year free as a thank-you for their feedback.

What about my kids' privacy?

GrownWise is for parents only. Kids don't get accounts, there's no chat, and you only add what you need, like a first name and birth year. For the beta, we only keep what you send us to set you up and hear how it goes. Read the privacy note.

When does it launch?

Spring 2027, on iPhone and Android. Want in sooner? Sign up to test the beta and we'll email you when it's ready.

Can I try it now?

Yes. The demo runs in your browser with sample kids, so you can tap around the skills, lessons and badges. It works best on a phone. Or become a beta tester and try the real app early.

Who makes GrownWise?

GrownWise is made by a dad in Columbia, Missouri.

Want to test it out?

We're looking for parents to try GrownWise early. Use the beta at home with your kids, then tell us honestly what works and what doesn't. Your feedback shapes what we build next.
